1. How long of a session should I choose ?

 

A standard Reiki session is about 60 minutes. An hour is perfect amount of time to find a state of deep relaxation so that the client may receive a deep healing.

30 minute sessions are great for people who would like to try Reiki for the first time or get familiar with a new practitioner. Generally Reiki sessions are 60min or more but this small session can be a great boost for your overall wellness.

2. Who is Reiki for ?

 

Reiki is for everyone, young or old, and anyone who is interested in healing on all levels of being.

3. Can Reiki still help me if I have no health problems?

 

Definitely! Reiki healing helps balance the energy of the mind and body, thus increasing inner peace, tranquility, and clarity.

4. Is Reiki safe?

​

Yes, it is a form of complementary medicine that many top medical centers, including Harvard, Cleveland Clinic and University of Michigan are currently utilizing in their hospitals and practices. Reiki healing can be performed on everyone no matter their mental or physical condition(s). Sessions have also been used while undergoing other types of treatment therapies such as: chemotherapy, IVF, physical therapy, and counseling.

5. How do I prepare for a reiki session?

 

Please dress comfortably, and arrive ready to heal.

6. How should I feel during a Reiki session?

 

You may feel a range of sensations throughout the body which can include: warmth, tingling, vibrations and mild pressure. Some clients fall asleep, which is normal when that relaxed. Other clients enter more of a meditative state, where you may see colors, have visions, or have auditory experiences. All of which are perfectly normal during meditative states. Some clients may just experience a general sense of relaxation. You will receive the same benefits, whether awake, asleep or in a meditative state.

 

7. How should I feel after a Reiki session?

Most commonly people feel relaxed, calmer, and lighter. Some people, however, may experience a heaviness in certain areas of the body such as the shoulders if they’ve been carrying heavy emotional burdens or in the legs. These are common areas for stagnant energy to get lodged.

8. Are there any things I should do after treatment?

 

Drink lots of water! Water helps to flush away toxins released during treatment. Other suggested post session self care actions are; Allow time for rest, Clean eating- avoid stimulants, depressants, and processed food. and be gentle with yourself emotional releases are normal. Be open to asking questions I am always here to help

 

​​​​​9. What is distant Reiki?

 

Distant Reiki is just like an in-person Reiki session however can be done anywhere. Reiki is not limited by distance. During a distant Reiki session I will channel Reiki energy to you for the allotted time. There has been great success with this method resulting in relief of physical pain, illness, and stress. Most people experience tingling, warmth or other physical sensations.
